im havin my off from work 2day. nothin much to do. i remember a friend tellin me about bloggin. well i do know many people who are into this stuff. ive even read books that are actually blog posts transformed into d more layman-friendly tangible form. enough 4 d intro, 2 why im bloggin that is, hehe.
oh d title. thats d question i always ask the people who queue 4 d sandwiches i make. i work at subway. eat fresh, u know. i just thought its a meaningful question. i guess the guests' answers tell somthin about the guests' characters. how they answer the question matters as well. more often than not, how they reply to the question "do u want ur bread oasted with cheese?" reveals their mood at d moment. i thought d question is a good title coz it reveals my career hehe. & i dunno, but i really enjoy askin d question. perhaps because it makes me feel important & helpful in a way. its like sayin, im here at ur service, im here to make ur meal, im here to do what u wnat me t do. now f ur arrogant ill revise my query? "do u want me to toast u?" harhar!
nway, hmmm.. i suppose no 1 has told u how fulfillin it is 2 prepare sandwiches 4 other people. im tellin u it is a fulfiilin job (ill discuss d monetary side in another posting though hehe). it feels good to see people munching d 6-incher or footlongs uve quickly yet dearly prepared for them.
& it feels even better when ur servin considerate & polite guests: those who do not lookdown on me (except if theyre 5-8 inches taller than i am). last night, i remember a nice Indian lady who was apparently our last customer 4 d day. she wanted tomatoes on her subway melt sandwich but all our tomatoes have been in earlier guests' small intestines by then. we said sorry & she just smiled & said she understood that perhaps she came too late. true enough she was d last person left in d dining area when i went out to start my closing routine. & just before she left i bade her goodbye & she sweetly said goodnyt. such small word, but it made me feel satisfied & happy with d day's work.
